DEFINITION OF WHITELIST
A whitelist is a system that explicitly permits certain specified organizations to access a certain privilege, service, mobility or recognition, i.e. it’s a list of permissible items, if all is by default forbidden. Whitelist is the opposite of a blacklist that lists the items that are banned when all are permitted by default.
In the blockchain sector, a whitelist is a list of addresses of licensed and trustworthy persons, computer programs or bitcoin addresses.
